QUALITY EXTRUSIONS ARE THE MAINSTAY OF AN EXTRUDER'S LIFE.

Without the proper equipment, well designed dies and highly trained personnel, everything downstream would be for not. 

Merit, evolving from a 1 press operation to a 6 press operation has an average press age of 15 years. And over this time, our handling equipment has been upgraded to included automated handling on our 2500 ton 8" and 3000 ton 9" inch presses and we are in the final commissioning stage of our new two press operation in Tijuana Mexico.  The automation is the centerpiece of our quality efforts. Our extrusions are only handled once, in packing, and this preserves the quality produced at the press. 

Over this time, our Die Shop has evolved too. Die design is an integral part of the process; our die reliability is well over 92%.  This guarantees not only our extrusions in tolerance; it ensures our on time performance.
